Dear all,

Would like to know if it is possible to enter UK overland with Working Holiday Visa? Does the Working Holiday maker need a return ticket to clear the immigration?

Thanks,
-gopeace

Hello Gopeace.

I doubt, that u need a return ticket, if u have a working holiday visa.
But, check with the British consulate, just to make sure.

I entered and left UK overland many, many times whilst on a UK Working Holiday visa. The only time I had trouble was when I arrived back in London by train and only had 2 months left on my visa... immigration gave me a pretty hard time, but I talked my way through eventually. Seems they thought I would overstay the end of my visa....

How do you enter an island overland?

How do you enter an island overland?

hahaha! Got me on that one! Guess I was trying to say that I had entered and left the UK via ports other than airports.... plus as the Eurostar and Channel Tunnel run under the ocean, I guess that could be considered "overland"..... or should that be "underland"?
