Hi Lisa:

So you 'd like to work at the same time you visit Spain, find a job in summer wouldn't be difficult in the typical touristic places, find accomodation it won't be as easy but neither impossible.

The question is: How do you want to work and visit the country at the same time? As you know touristic places won't let you know the real Spain and you won't have a lot of free time at all, so how will you plan to do it?

To find a job try it with www.monster.es or www. infojobs.com, to find accomodation depends on what you are looking for: Private apartament, hotel room, camping...?

Where to start? There is so much to see... I would recommend you to start in Andalucia, after that visit Castilla la Mancha and Madrid, then go to Valencia and from there to the north, wou will miss a lot (Galicia, Asturias, Aragón...) but it's impossible to see everything if you don't have too much time and want to work also.

Maybe if you give more details I could help you more.

Sebas

I will travel to Europe this summer the last two weeks of June 07. I will stay in Santander for two weeks then go to Paris at the end of June.

In the two weeks in Santander I have four days off of work. I wonder if anyone can suggest a tour or visit some places in Spain (not too expensive and not too far from Santander) in those four days.

The mode of travel from Madrid to Santander and to Paris? Plane of rail? Which way is better?

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Hy!

Have you made your itinerary yet?
Well, if you haven't yet , i strongly recommend at least 2-3 places of Castilla y Leon. -snip- I myself, love Valladolid and Avila.
I agree on not going for the typical touristic places but you really shouldn;t miss Barcelona and Sevilla.
have fun on your trip!

I'm planning a long europe trip late summer/fall of 2008...

No details or plans yet, just starting to get excited and put together my plan of attack. Been working in an office for 3 years now, time to take a break and reward myself!!!!
I'll probably be heading out alone, so I'm all for meeting any other fellow travellers during that time.
