has anyone done this before, if so

where do you buy them??
What is the rough cost??
Are they easy enough to sell when your leaving>???

Hi, I bought a van for my trip around australia, and it is the best thing I have done on the trip. It really gives you the freedom to go where you want when you want. It saves you money too, cos Buses and trains aint cheap down under. Of course it saves you money on accomodation too.

I'm not compleatly unbiased though, cos I'm selling mine at the moment. Here is my link to my add on this forum.
I'm selling it from Brisbane in the next couple of weeks if you are interrested.

If you go to any backpackers hostel or internet cafe you see loads of adds up on the notice boards (in Brisbane anyway). You see a lot of bargains too cos people often have to sell them in a hurry cos their trip is coming to an end. You generally see old campervans for sale for about $3000 to $6000. Make sure you get them checked by an independant mechanic before you buy though.

You could also go to a company like wicked campers who rent vans to backpackers and see if they have any vans to sell. They will generally have high milage, but will be in good condition and well serviced.

Good luck
