okay so I couldn't fit this in a specific continent since it's about where my husband and I should go for our honeymoon.

O.k so we got married in court in August [8th] .. and we have yet to have a ceremony, & even though we plan to wait a year or two more for the ceremony and honeymoon we're planning everything now so it'll be less stress then.

Here's the thing. For the honeymoon we can't decided where to go! haha. He wants to go somewhere in Asia, while I was thinking Europe because I'm going to Japan this summer and we'll be travelling to Hong Kong a lot to visit his family & the fact that we'll probably be living in either Korea, Japan, or HK for a few years due to my teaching career.

His choices:
- JeJu Island, Korea
- Japan
- Hong Kong
- Thailand

My choices:
- Australlia
- England
- Ireland

I really wouldn't mind going to Asia because really I love Asia but idk if we should go somewhere in Europe since we will rarely if ever go there.

we're more cultural people; not really looking to lounge on the beach all day

Hi Kate,

I hae moved your thread from the Off Topic Forum to here (General Talk). Though Off Topic is a great forum, I feel you will receive more informative answers here than there. (And less chance of having the thread jacked for the sake of humoring others.)

Several people have posted similar type threads in this forum when they are unsure about which continent to visit. When you don't have a specific region in mind, then it falls under general discussion.

Congratulations on your marriage and good luck with planning your honeymoon. (Though, I have a feeling your ideas about places to visit may change several times over the next two years...) ;)

Hi Kate,

I can understand not wanting to go to Asia if you feel there will be plenty other opportunities to visit again down the road.

My first thought though upon looking at your 3 choices is "expensive" (Australia more so for getting there, than cost of traveling there). If you can manage to save enough, they'd all be fantastic choices, but it's something to consider.

If money is a concern and you want to go somewhere quite different culturally, you might also want to consider Central or South America. Just a thought.

And congratulations!
