Wow, well, if you go to norway you shouldn't miss the fjords. I didn't think Oslo is a special place really, nice city, but not much to see. On the other hand Bergen does seem very nice.

If I were you i'd try and make it to some major fjord at least, such as Geiranger or Sognefjord.

Hello and welcome to Tallinn!

Tallinn is one of the most stylish cities of Europe with centuries-old history and architectural monuments that are the part of the UNESCO world heritage list.

The ancient Town Hall, 26 watchtowers and a part of the fortress wall, churches and convents, dwellings of merchants and townspeople, pass-throughs and enclosed courtyards, squares and parks - all this contributes to the unique charm of the medieval Old Town.

You can take a guided walking tour of the Old Town. The guide helps you to explore the town and see the best that Tallinn has to offer.

Regards,
Tanya

Helsinki is a beautiful city. Don't miss the fort Suomenlinna http://www.suomenlinna.fi/index.php?menuid=3&lang=eng, it's pretty place, and besides an old fort, it is a much beloved place for picknicks on friday and saturday. Also pretty is the church in the rock. Plan a good walk through the city, and you can see a lot. To see the other part of Finland you should go a couple of days into the lakes area. (the Karelia-area is beautiful) You could also opt to go further North to Lappland. (another option would be to go North in Sweden (to Kiruna, and get to Tornio, and cross the border to Finland there, and make your way South to Helsinki that way. From Helsinki you can make a crossing by boat to Tallin, is a couple of hours.

Check Blue1 for cheapflights in Scandinavia.

Remember Scandinavia is an expensive place to travel.

Hi Maneck!

If you're going to Denmark, i can give you my 2 cents!

I don't know anything about Aarhus really as ive never been there, but i would say you should focus on Copenhagen instead.

First of all, try to go in the summer as Copenhagen is much nicer when the sun is shining and people are outside.

Copenhagen is an expensive city, as is the rest of Scandinavia, so doing some hotels research is probably a good idea.

Things to do:

You should go on a canal cruise, even though it is expensive, its a good way to go sightseeing!

Nyhavn is an old sailor area with lots of old houses, where people gather, when the sun is shining, to hang out, drink beer or just relax. You should go there at least once!

Christiania is also worth a visit. It started 30 years ago by some people taking over empty military buildings and grew to be an almost independent city within the city based on leftist ideals. It was, and to some extent still is, a place to legally buy and smoke marihuana.
This has changed a lot though, as the politicians and police has cracked down on it wihtin the last years.

You can go swimming in the summer at different places actually in the city.

Other things to see, you can find here:

In the evening and night, Copenhagen has a lot of pubs, bars, clubs and music, whatever you prefer.

Good luck with your travel!

Hi Maneck. If you're going to Scandinavia it would be a HUGE mistake to miss Saint Petersburg, Russia which is just 6 hour away from Helsinki by train or bus. If you have never been to Russia before this is a perfect chance to do that...just stop by for a few days and come back to Helsinki and proceed... We LOVED Saint Petersburg,
Russia and would certainly come back again if we had a chance. My
husband and I prefer flexibility when traveling and like being on our
own and exploring cities in and out so we decided to arrange for
private guide services to feel secure in such a foreign country. I was
really uncertain about arranging guide services not through my travel
agent but my fears were gone by the time we met with Svetlana. We
found her on www.saintpetersburgtour.com. She was absolutely adorable
and friendly, very knowledgeable so that by the end of the day our
heads were so full of exciting stories and useful information that one
would need one more full day to sort everything out! Anyways, we
absolutely did not regret that we hired her and would certainly
recommend her to anyone who's interested and is planning a trip to
such a beautiful city like Saint Petersburg. By the way, the trip
turned out to be several times cheaper than some packages we were
offered by our travel agent so that we just got plane tickets and had
our visas with his help. Everything else we did on-line on our own.
