mythxation has indicated that this thread is about Turkey

Hello there! I have landed in Istanbul... I plan on exploring the western side a little bit, and then heading over to Greece by way of ferry. I would love to break up the trip and see some of Greece's interesting islands. I have a few questions I need ifo on:

What are major port towns in Turkey?
What Islands in Greece are really spectacular, and relatively in line between Turkey and Greece?
Do the ferries run at this time of year, and at what cost? (in range)

You should check the 2nd page of this forum. There are a few Turkey/Greece topics which have some useful information in them

Hi there,

Kusadasi and Istanbul are the main ports for Greek islands cruises, also you can reach from Cesme(to Chios), Bodrum(to Kos) and Marmaris(to Rhodes) too.

Kusadasi has too many options and all cruise ships stop by there. This is a low season so not sure how often they run. You are so young so Mykonos would be your type. But in March or early April, there is no great fun, i think.

I hope you already know this site:

Its got some excellent tips on gettting from Turkey to Greece.
IMO the best way is to either buy a train ticket at Istanbul Sirkeci station and go to Athens by train or to go by ferry from Bodrum to Rhodos.
