Hi there... just following up on my earlier thread about where to fly to in India. Our flights are booked and we have 20 days (19 nights)!
Following advice of board members we are planning maybe...
4 nights in Delhi
1 night in Agra
3 nights in Jaipur
4 nights in Pushkar
2 nights Jodhpur
4 nights Mt. Abu
1 night in Delhi before home...
Is this do-able and would these be appropriate time frames for each destination? Although we like cities for short periods of time, on holidays we prioritise wildlife and beautiful landscapes.
Thanks for the great advice so far
hey..had replied to ur earlier thread too...
this is very do'able..in fact a little lesiurely in certain places ...like pushkar.. not sure u need 4 nights there..similar with Mt Abu...think u should switch a lil with jodhpur
or knock one night each from delhi..pushkar..n mt abu and try and make it to Jaisalmer
have a wonderful time
I think 4 nights in Delhi is too much. There are a few good things to see, but I would say spend two days sightseeing and get out of there for better places.
Have you considered how you are going to get between places? Remember that in India even a 4 hour drive could easily become a full day of travel. On days when I travel, I tend to consider it a write-off as far as sightseeing goes. So I'm not sure on days you travelled where you counted your night spent. So here's a little fine tunng as I would do it:
Day 1-2 - Delhi (2 days, 2 nights)
Day 3 - Delhi to Agra
Day 4 - Agra (1 day, 2 nights)
Day 5 - Agra to Jaipur
Day 6-7 Jaipur (2 days, 3 nights)
Day 8 -Jaipur to Pushkar
Day 9-10 Pushkar (2 days, 3 nights)
Day 11 - Pushkar to Jodhpur
Day 12-13 Jodhpur (2 days, 3 nights)
Day 14 - Jodhpur - Mt. Abu
Day 15-17 Mt. Abu (3 days, 4 nights)
Day 18-19 - Train back to Delhi (1 day, 1 night)
Day 19 - Delhi (1 day, 1 night)
Day 20 Leave
