Hey, was just wondering if anyone could tell me whats the best ski resort in Oz? I'm considerin trying to get a job on a ski resort for a few months during my travels and was wondering how easy it is to get work? Any advice would be great.

I don't know about the "best", as they are all pretty average (this is Australia afterall).

One of the most popular is Thredbo in New South Wales. This is about a 6 hour drive from Sydney. There are also a few other nearby resorts so it might be a good base. In Victoria you might want to look at Falls Creek.

Jut keep in mind that the ski season here starts in June and finishes in late August. Oh, and it's a rich man's sport over here unlike Europe.

. Ice and slush tend to be what most aussies would consider "snow" in the land down under. But, so long as you're going to the snow hills with the intention to party rather than ski/snowboard (oh yeah and do a little work too), then you'll be fine.

Not sure if it's too out of your way, but you might want to consider New Zealand. They have some decent resorts and if you can't find a job at one of them, Queenstown and Wanaka have a lot of restaurants and bars where you might be able to find a job. A good place to start would be www.nzski.com.
