Hi there.
I'm planning a trip to cuba in June/July for at least a month... I'm looking for opportunities to farm and get involved in their permaculture/organic agriculture movement as well as see the country and appreciate the culture. Any suggestions? I don't believe WWOOF is affiliated but if they are, I'd appreciate a connection!

Also, what is the real deal for getting there (legally) if you're from the US? Suggestions on the best way to go?
Any other must-sees?

Thanks!
jessica

Best way for someone from the US to visit Cuba is via Cancun. The key thing is to make sure you don't get your passport stamped on the way in or out (for obvious reasons;)).

I don't know much about volunteering there. There are some solidarity trips made by socialist movements around the world, they work on farms and that sort of stuff. Google Cuba Solidarity if that's the sort of thing your looking for. If you find anything else be sure to post it here, I'd be interested to know myself!
