Now I know that some people think i'm a bit eccentric for travelling so much without flying, but even this one is a bit beyond me...

Swim across the Atlantic Ocean - 3,462 mi

That long? last time I swam the Atlantic it seemed a lot shorter.

That route is obviously a joke. From Stanford - why would anyone head north through San Francisco! Obviously you'd be better off swimming across the San Francisco bay and avoiding the traffic and the tolls!

That's got to be a joke - someone had to program "swim the Atlantic" as a travel route. Still - I just about choked on my coffee.
