Hi, we are looking for a Tokina wide angle lens for a Nikon D50. we're flying to London from NZ and were hoping for a stopover in a dutyfree port to buy the lens and larger memory cards.
which place (Bankok, KL, HK, Singapore, etc.) would have the largest selection of camera stores and lowest taxes and hassles?

we are also considering spending a few days, recommendations?

Thank you!

You can try out YL Photo in Pudu Plaza Kuala Lumpur. Problem is, you might need help from a local to locate the place.

Price wise, i'm not sure as this is the info given to me by my fren who is a photographer.

I would think it is Singapur, but keep in mind that you may not have international garanty even they tell you.
and duty free means not always that you get the best price.

thank you for your advice, I've made note of them for future travels.
currently, the travel agent found us a fantastic deal going thru Brunei, which we've extended our overnight shopping trip into 2 weeks wildlife exploring. any suggestions for Borneo??? ;)
