Alright I found info on travel between the two airports but it was kind of confusing. Has anyone made the exchange and if so could you tell me the cheapest way possible? I'm flying from JFK, New York to Heathrow, London. From there I take a plane from Gatwick, London to Malpenza, Milan (RyanAir)

The most convenient way is to get the airport bus, thus avoiding the need to go into central London, but it's a bit of a rip-off at £19 - http://www.nationalexpress.com/

The cheapest way is to get the tube into central London then the bus from Victoria to Gatwick - this will save you about a tenner, but would be a bit impractical with big luggage.

I'll have a backpack so luggage shouldn't really be a problem. Do you know if the bus to Gatwick from Victoria departs FROM the station or is it outside the station. I remember reading something about walking to the bus from the Victoria train station

Neal's taking that bus on Friday and said it was a good deal. That's bloody $40 Canadian - a lot for a simple bus ride! I guess they know travellers are stuck and will pay for the convenience.

The bus station is about 5 minutes walk from the train station, but it's not too hard to find.

Does anyone know how to get from Stansted Airport to Heathrow Airport without going by National Express Coaches? They are a rip-off! GBP 21.50 for a one way ticket?!

Argh! Too costly!

I saw online that there is a Jetlink 797 express bus, but I'm not sure if it's still in operation now. I can't find enough info. Hope someone can help!

Hi Daphne

Cheapest way is:

- go Terravision or Easybus to get from Stansted into central London (will cost between about £3-8, Terravision slightly more expensive than Easybus but gets you to Victoria Coach Station where you need to be).

- then take National Express SH025 from Victoria to Gatwick, about £6.00.
