Curious to know how many times you can apply for a working holiday visa?
Have already had one granted in 2005 and had an excellent time in Oz and really want to go again now that im a bit older and a bit wiser!
So any info would be awesome about ways to get back out there again, WHV or other ways i may not thought of
If, and only if you did at least three fulltime months of seasonal work on your first working holiday visa, and can prove this with "original or certified copies of payslips, group certificates, payment summaries, tax returns or employer references", (or "a completed employment verification form" - but you won't have this, otherwise you'd have known about this), you can get a second working holiday visa for Australia. See that page for the definition of seasonal work.
Otherwise you're limited to going as a tourist (ETA visas are three months by default, but I think you can have them extended to six months - you're just not allowed to work on them (although I think I saw people say you can wwoof on them)), or finding a company there to sponsor you for a work visa.

why not consider getting a whv for NZ? they are easy to get if you are under 30 and they are now valid for 2 years. you could also do some travelling in australia while you are over that part of the world.
Or affordable VET (vocational) level study with student visa granting work rights, and potential for residency application after two years study http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/880/index.htm and/or 18 month graduate visa to acquire skills for migration.
