West coast!!!

Hey guys!!!!
I really want to travel down the west coast this summer however after my previous experiences with the greyhound im looking into other forms of transportation. Any advice???

Are you travelling by yourself? if travelling with someone over 25, you could rent a car, it's a great road trip!

I think Rental Car is the best thing to do. Our transportation system isn't anywhere as good as yours. Plus you'll have a lot more freedom to see whatever you want to see.

We considered Amtrak...i just cant believe how expensive and more importantly slow it is. But it is always an option.

Both of us are 20 so we cant rent a car, however were thinking of buying one with another couple of people to spread the cost. Anyone have any advice?? The major thing that im worried about is the insurance since all of us have british driving licences. Does anyone know of an insurance company that would cover us anyway? please help!!!!
