We are going to be arriving in Nice towards the end of September and have until around the 24th October to travel Italy and get back up to Paris to fly home. We will have a rental car. I am looking for ideas and places that we can go and see. Initially we have Venice, Florence, Rome, Amalfi Coast, Monaco but am not sure what else we can fit in. We would love some ideas.

Hello Susand

I went along the French Riviera and Italian riviera, in the train. The views were fantastic. Maybe there is also a road u can drive along, and see the same views.

Hi Susand,

I'd suggest driving from Monaco along the coast, crossing the border into Italy, stopping at Cinque Terre, drive down to Pisa and then Rome, Amalfi Coast, loop back up to Florence and on to Venice. It's a lot of driving but if you have the time, it would be the ideal way to travel these two countries. :)

Italy in oCtober is just fabulous. Tourist season is over but it's still hot and sunny. Perfect time of the year to see it in my book :)

Hope you have a fab time!
Evelyn
