If u wanna have a nice, cosy, family-type hostel and not on Long Street (the party street) go and stay at 'The Sunflower Stop'!!!!

We loved it there!!!

Hey Mags

Try out the following, we use these guys on a regualr basis:

The Backpack - www.backpackers.co.za
Big Blue Backpackers - www.bigblue.za.net
Daddy Long Legs - www.daddylonglegs.co.za

There are others but these will keep within close distance of the main attractions.

Enjoy
Ian

Hi Mags

I would recommend you contact bazbus this is the coach that you hop on and hop off all around South Africa that takes you around. They pick up from most backpacking lodges their website is www.bazbus.com
or alternativly check out the backpacking guide for SA on www.coastingafrica.com

Enjoy, remember though you are arriving in Rainy season for Cape Town so pack the winter welly's.

Regards
André

Hi Mags,

I stayed in Big Blue Backpackers & Cat & Mouse in Cape Town - Cat & Mouse is on Long Street, both are quite close to Table Mountain, the V&A waterfront etc so quite central. I'd say Big Blue was the more lively of the two if your looking at meeting people, also it has a small pool in the garden which is nice in the sun
