I was thinking of going down to Dublin over the Easter bank holidays with my best friend - but is there any point? I know in the North pubs have restricted licencing laws on Good Friday and the entire Easter weekend with the bars closing early or not opening at all - so whats the story in Rep of Ireland? Im guessing it will be as bad (that would explain the availablity of hotels and their relative low cost!)
Help me plan my weekend l finish up on Friday and do not go back to work until Wednesday!
No pubs or off licenses are allowed to open on Good Friday - its illegal to sell alcohol on Good Friday!!!!, but everywere opens up easter sunday and saturday! Town will be mental -
I'm nearly sure they only two days of the year that your not allowed sell alocohol in ROI are good friday & Christmas day.
You'll be fine going out Sat night, Sun i cant be sure, these publicans can be temperamental! it'll be fine also id say, we'll need to booze up considering theres a bank holday the next day, wouldn't want to get too rested! Easter is a pub day yeah.
