Carbon offsetting is calculating the cost of the emissions you have produced (airfare, car, etc.), then donating/paying that amount to a provider that plants trees, or does other environmentally "healthy" endeavors.

Thanks Isadora.

It is very scary.:(
It sometimes makes me think, I should not have had a child. Look at the world, I am leaving her in.

Too right. There should be laws against some people reproducing

What would take, to silence u?

It is happening in 20 years, not 20,000.
I suppose it is easy, not to care, for people who have no kids. A lot of things in the world become important, when u have kids. ;)

What happens in 20 years, Mel? that our world is unbearable to live in due to our environmental problems?

I suggest that you pay him to make the bad man go away. It hasn't worked in the past, but he may be desperate for the cash.

It's just as easy for people with children not to care as they aren't necessarily globally-minded. If it's not obvious in their own backyard, then the problem does not exist. It's also hard to take certain information seriously when governments allow big business one extention after another when it comes to cleaning up their pollutants. Some see it as, "It can't be that serious a problem if companies don't need to conform to new regulations". It's a form of tunnel-vision.

I used to think that things cant be that bad, in the world.
Then I found out more and more. And, then I suppose I became more globally minded.
It is astonishing, to say the least. I suppose some people still dont realise what is going on, which makes it easier for industries, to get away with more. ;)

I have no idea what's going on, and neither do I care.
