Hello, I'm Evangeline, I'm new to this site, so i hope i'm posting in the right catergory.

Anyways, just a simple quick question for anywho who resides in England or used to reside in England.
I'm writting a fanfiction story, and it's placed in England and since I obviously don't live there, i was wondering if someone could tell me about any popular harbors, and any popular place where people keep their boats, or leave from with their boats.

Like i said, quick and simple really, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks for reading :)

Hi Evangeline

A quintessentially English place where the rich like to bob about in their boats near us are the harbour villages around Chichester harbour, particularly Bosham Harbour.

Also there are plenty of flash boats tied up at cosmopolitain Brighton Marina.

Another small English town famous for boats, particularly for sailing, is Salcombe in Devon which is very pretty and always has tons of sail boats bobbing about in the bay.

It sounds like you're thinking of personal pleasure boats, 10-15m yachts or something like that. If so, the Solent is the centre of the universe, so Cowes or the Hamble would be obvious places. Next after that would be just about any marina along the south coast.

Maybe you should explain more about the "flavour" you're trying to convey in your book, and they we could offer more precise suggestions.
