I'm just curious to know from people who have visited the Orlando and California Universal Studios Theme Parks what the difference between the two is. I'm an AVID movie buff doing some round the world travel later this year and i'm starting in the States and going to Universal Studios is one of the top things i simply can't wait to do. However, i'm not really sure which is the better one to go to. I always thought it was the one in California but, now i'm not so sure. Is the Orlando Universal the only one that has the studio tour where Jaws jumps out of the water? I'm just really curious because, if the Orlando one is better than i will wait until i get to Florida to go! Disneyland will do in California =P
So if anyone can help me....that would be GRRRRRRRRREAT!
if you're a movie buff then california should be a no brainer. the one in cali is a few minutes outside of hollywood where youll be overwhelmed with cinema nostalgia and such. florida is basically the land of amusement parks and old people.. and some rich people.
both universal theme parks have the jaws ride. i would go to universal in california and disneyworld in florida. the disneyworld in florida is bigger and better than the disneyland in cali. also, depends on what time of the year you will be going. any theme park in america is going to be CROWDED during the months of june, july, and august. at theme parks like disney and universal, you could wait 2-3 hours to just go on 1 ride!!! so, if you can, schedule your trip to these parks in any month except june, july, august. hope this helps!
I'd highly suggest you go to Disney World in Florida rather than Disneyland in California.
Disney World is much better than Disney Land. Go to Florida
Thanks heaps for your advice everyone. Yeah, a family friend i know who's done the States quite thoroughly said that Disney World was quite an experience compared to DisneyLAND. The only problem i would run into is that i'm getting to the States in the second last week of September and starting in Vegas because my friend is getting married there (how original) and by the time i get to Orlando it will be hurricane season, and the websites said that the Orlando ones often shut down at that time =S or shut down if there's warning of a hurricane.....
i'm sure i'll work it out tho :-) i'm sure i'll be blown away no matter where i go!
What month do you intend on being in Florida on?
Well i'm travelling my way around down the soutern coast starting in Vegas/LA in September, so i can only assume that it would be at least half way through October by the time i got to Florida, or the end of the first or second week of October.
im going to disneyworld in july if anyone wants to come im looking for a travel buddy ^w^
Universal Florida has two theme parks and hard rock live. If you want more of a studio tour then go to LA, if you want more of a theme park then go to Orlando.
I took the family holiday last year from New Zealand and it was wonderful.
