worst: LAX, JFK, and O'Hare
best: i love the airports in nadi, fiji and papeete, tahiti. there are live bands playing and they are open air buildings, so you feel relaxed as soon as you get off of the plane!

I gotta agree with the majority here - l detest LAX - mainly cos l could pulled into immigration for further questioning there - NOT PLESANT!

Changi in Singapore is amazing gotta be the worlds best hands down - everything transit passengers or travellers could need!

Quoting CanadaGuy

Worst- Chicago O'hare
Best :hard to say... I've had several that weren't bad, but for some reason I liked Incheon in Seoul. ( Also, for a really small airport, Luang Prabang was surprisingly efficient )

O_O why is Chicago so bad? I'm transfering planes in Chicago .. and it's my first time ever doing this ... first time on a long plane ride, first time on a plane alone .... >.<!

Kate- I personally find O'hare so bad because I always seem to be delayed in flights in and out of Chicago- It may be the weather, or the fact that the airport is just soo big that it seems to run inefficiently....
Also I once had a bag lost coming back to Ohare and that left a bad taste in my mouth.

Having said that- I'm sure you will be fine. Odds are always with you that everything will go as planned- Don't worry too much about your trip. Have fun...... (and if you really get anxious about planes, ask your doctor for a light sedative....lol)

CanadaGuy: Oh no, I'm not nervous about flying on planes, I'm nervous I'll miss my connecting flight or luggage will get lost or something ... I'm one of those people who would freak.

I've never really had any bad experiences with any airport. Maybe I'm just lucky. No lost luggage, no delayed flights, no hassles really.

Usually, I dont mind spending time at airports, at all.
Unless it is Charles De Gualle airport, in Paris. There is usually some annoyance, when I am there. The last time, it was, that there were no toilets, in the bording area. If a person wanted to go to the toilet, they would have to leave the bording area, and then go through all the security for checking in, all over again. The flight was delayed, several hours, so I amused myself by drinking coffee, that was available in the bording area, which meant, a few trips to the toilets.

I have to agree with Mel re Charles De Gualle airport, but I also have to say that LAX is up there with the worst! Whilst LAX often seems to be unavoidable to have to transfer, at least with Charles De Gualle you can usually pick another route!

As I think has already mentioned, Changi, Singapore is certainly my favourite - I'm always more than happy to spend transit time here.

Best airport I've been in: Dublin. Very clearly signposted, all comfort you need, lot of shopping and dining options, very good and frequent public transport from/to the city.

Worst: not sure but I'd opt for one of those RyanAir airports who claim to be in a city but are in reality an hour train ride away from it. Although not really nice, if it saves me lot of money I do tend to use them...

Also, the airport here in Belfast is quite weird. It's named after George Best but there's hardly any alcohol for sale

I'm a big fan of the Saigon/Ho Chi Minh Airport strangely enough. I just took a local flight to another city in Vietnam but check in was quick and easy, the gates are all close by and they have reasonably priced restraunts inside the gates. There were 8 or 9 different computers that offered free internet access so you could chat while waiting for the plane, and it was really clean. :)

Worst..... dunno on that one, I'm not much of a complainer so I deal with what I get. Maybe O'Hare.... it seems like I just had to walk a long way when I was in that airport. I don't remember it being particularly bad though. I'm usually drunk the minute I hit an airport though, I don't believe in flying sober!
