overnight transfer with Qatar Airways

Travel Forums Asia overnight transfer with Qatar Airways

Hello,

I have to go to Bangkok, and one option is from Istanbul via Doha with Qatar Airways. In both direction the transfer time in Doha is 12-13 hours, overnight. Does anyone know what Qatar Airways do with their overnight transfer passengers - do they provide hotel and visa, free or for what money? Thanks.

that is sucky. I had that once with aeroflot. had to change over in Moscow (from Delhi). had to wait 12 hours. but u have choosed this for yourself. its cheaper then a direct flight. so the cheaper the less comfortable, live with it, or get a direct flight.

U will have to sit and stare for 12 hours....that is the most likely to be happen. Take a good book.

Hello Kgerog

I dont know what Doha is like, but if I was there for 12 hours, during daytime, and if it is reasonably safe, I would get a visa, before going and hang out, in the city, for a few hours. And, maybe u wont need a visa. Ask the consulate.
If the 12 hours, are at night time, I would just sleep, for a few hours, in the airport, or have a few coffees.
