I think Iraq should be the undisputed king of The Most Dangerous Place! But I dont think Pakistan, Srl Lanka and Lebanon, although parts may be dangerous, should be up there.

I dont mind living on the edge but Iraq?? NEVER!!!I would like to see my limbs intact.

This is for Mr David Bloom,:(

Unless you've actually been to any of these places, pls i wouldn't even try and make comments about them being the So Called"13 Top Dangerous Places"on earth...

Chad,i've been in 2004 and believe me it such an amazing place with great hospitable people i'ver seen...(That's not to say they haven't had their fair shair of problems in the past, but country hasn't)

Somalia(well put it this way,i'm actually from Somalia,i'm half Somalian, half Djiboutian),i went to see my family in 2005 and it's absolutly fabulous...Great food, great views of the Indian Ocean, great fishes...

And please there's absolutly nothing wrong with neither Pakistan or Afganistan, plenty collegues of mine went there and have been going there for the past 10years and they are as healthy as you and me.

And for god's sake, what is wrong with Sri Lanka,a very good friend of mine was there for new year and she had the time of her life there...

I'm so curious as to where or you told you that these countries are the most dangerous places at the moment...

Unless you've been there, then please don't go there because you will offend a lot of people here...

P.S:Don't listen to the media, they brainwash...

Sri Lanka.

It could possibly be due to that tiny little dispute between the Tamil minority and the Sinhalese majority.

You know, bombs, child soldiers, all that fun stuff.

As there is a date in this article (first line), I presume dbloom is refering to an article. He refers to forbes.com, but I don't think it's dbloom personal opinion, but the opinion of this website. So don't attack dbloom, but forbes.com.

There have been some incidents the last few months, but still most of the trouble is in the North and the East. It seems that after a relatively calm period, the last couple of years, slowly everything is going back to the way it was. (sadly enough)

well i've never been to any of these places. but i feel that indonesia is really dangerous!!

i lived in jakarta from 1993 to 1998. was there during the racial riots of 1998. it was scary... especially for an impressionable 15 year old like yours truly. they targetted chinese, and women, and i belong to both categories!

  • Shudders*

heard that it's still not safe to go out unaccompanied there at night.
