Hi travellers, just wondering if anyone did any travels over the Easter long weekend?
I spent my weekend with some friends at my family holiday house in Lorne, Victoria, which is about 3 hours from Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road. Was going to go and watch the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach but unfortunately there was no surf.
Other than that, it was great fun, only problem is it was too short and I'm back at work today!
Well on Easter Sunday I went with my husband and his family to Moheagan Sun Casino in Conneticuit.

I took a long 2 mile trip to my aunts house...
Hmmm - not nearly as much travel as I would have liked. For me, just out to the other side of the Black Spur in Vic.... but the weather was gorgeous
I flew from Sydney to Perth on Saturday, and back to Sydney on Monday.
A good mate of mine lives in Perth and it was his son's christening.
We drove the 120 miles into Chicago for a 2 days visit. We should have driven the same distance and visited the HoChunk Casino in the Wisconsin Dells instead.
I went to Whitby with my lovely new Boyfriend. We left on Thursday morning and stayed in a beautiful B&B, Lavinia House, with great sea views. Weather was perfect. Friday went for a walk near Goathland on the moors, and Saturday went to Robin Hoods Bay. We tried to find another nights accomodation in Scarborough but everywhere was totally full, so came home and went out for Tapas. Then went to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park on Monday
Brilliant Weekend! Weather was excellent, I hadn't thought I could get sunburnt at Easter in North Yorkshire!
And I took a few nice photos.

I headed up to the Far North of New Zealand. Went dolphin watching on a cruise in Paihia and viisted the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, whch were really interesting.
Stayed in Ahipara for two nights on Ninety Mile Beach. Drove up to Cape Reinga, went to the gumfields and then went sandboarding in the giant dunes. That was great fun!
On Easter Monday, took a car ferry across a lake at Rawena, stopped at an art gallery and bought a cool painting. Walked through a beautiful forest and saw an ancient kauri tree (it was huge!).
Had an amazing weekend with gorgeous sunny weather.
