I have a doubt: Argentine people is of white race? I want to go to some place in South America and my friends recommended Argentina to me, but I want to go to some place where there is majority of indigenous population. I suppose that in Argentina there will be indigenous minorities, but I want some country with majority. Argentine people is of white race or what?
thanks a lot.
EDIT: By the way; i'm black.

maybe you will be better off en Peru or Ecuador, there you will find
Bolivia, Peru and Paraguay might be better for you then - mostly indigenous people.
Argentina is predominantly white
I have a doubt: Argentine people is of white race?
Most of the population is "Mestizos" Spaniards+indian in Argentina.
Probably in Buenos Aires area you´ll see more European descendants because was the port, the main entrance to inmigration.
But North region: Salta, Jujuy, Formosa, Chaco, still having native indigenous tribes.
If you look for an antrophology journey you should land in Buenos Aires and fly to the north
i'm french so sorry by my english.
You now, i must say that i was go to Argentina twice and saw 90% of argentinians are white people (descendent of spanish, italian, german, russian french and a lot of polish).
In the north i can see indians and mixed white-indian ("mestizos" in spanish) but if you want to see really indian people, Argentina is not the better place.
Is an AMAZING COUNTRY, but not to see indians.
I repeat; 85% or 90% of people is white (but not racist at all). The other 15% or 10% is mixed or indian.
I really recommended to you if you want see indian cultures: Go to Peru or Bolivia or Mexico.
Buenos Aires is a beatuy city but is just like a european city. The people is pretty italian.
The south of Argentina (the Patagonia) is gorgeus landspcapes, similar (or better) to Canada and Montana, and the southern argentinians are totally white, because are descendent of german, welsh, scotish and others.
I repeat: Sorry by my english, i'm from France.
indians or indigenous are bad terms to refer to natives. "aborígenes" is the proper term to be used.
