I have been to Kuantan..beautiful beaches there :)
Would anyone have any suggestions as to which tour agencies I should join if i want to go to Tioman/Redang/Langkawi? I'm looking for low to avg prices.
Also too, anyway i can rent a cell phone in m'sia for a month?

Hi chicacola...

There are plenty of tour agencies you could find it here.
Try this site:
http://directories.mesra.net/Travel/Travel_Agents/more3.shtml

Else eventually you can easily get to hook up to any travel agent depending on where will you be residing on the very 1st day when you touch down in KLIA (Malaysia International Airport) You can pick up a phone and dial "103" to request for more information or no. to call on tour agents or anything frm this directory.

2ndly I haven't come across on mobile phone rental. But I'll recommend you to bring along one (if you have) all the way frm Canada. I bet it'll be auto roaming. If you wanted for a cheaper rate locally, there're few useful Prepaid SIM packs that you can afford. There're eventually 3 telecommunication networks known as MAXIS, CELCOM, and DIGI. I bet if you get a DIGI Prepaid SimPack it'll be good and affordable enough.
It's about USD$10-20 if I'm not mistaken. And once you finished the credit limits, you may top it up else eventually keep it as a "Malaysian Souvenier" then. Hehe...

Last but not least for car rental pls try this site for more inquiries and info:
http://www.kasbah.com/car_rental/malaysia.htm
Hope this will help. Afterall no harm if you are trying on Malaysia public transport.

Good journey, and happy visit.

Cheers,
Nick
