Sorry to put all this on you guys but feeling a bit down and need a bit of PT crazyness to cheer me up/ Had a week off work to do some travel planning, but I acccidently kicked a wall and broke my toe, my sister has just moved to the English mainland (moved away from the Isle of Wight) and on her first day away, she was helping her husband off load their boat and it slipped and cut one of her fingers and part of her hand off. Luckily doctors have sewn back on.
And to top it all off, I was supposed to start filming our new movie but one of the lead actors didn't show.
Hey Alex. You're not the only one, if that helps. I got knocked off my bike on Thursday (by some guy who pulled out of a side street without looking), and broke my arm. I was supposed to be doing a big charity bike ride next week, and playing in a football tournament the week after, and playing a big gig with my band, so I'm pretty unhappy. Spent 4 hours in A&E last night waiting for them to give me stronger painkillers. Rant over.
Your sisters accident sounds particularly unpleasant, commiserations to her, and hope your toe heals up quickly.
Everyone seems to be having bad luck at the moment. Hope you arm heals up quickly. Are you still able to do any of things you had planned?
Well, we've postponed the gig until June, and I can just do the bike ride whenever really, so I'll not miss out on too much. Annoying though.
What are you s'posed to be filming? What part didn't turn up? We could have a TP virtual audition for a quick replacement
This is a non-profit film. (Which I really like doing as I haven't got to worry about clients needs etc.) Its just a group of friends that really like making movies so use my company as a sort of 'base' of operations. Its a film called Formula X (i Didn't come up with the title) and its about an experimental formula that the russians have delevoped and are trying to sell on the blank market to a group of English men. Its a low budget, action film (with some rather bizzare comedy moments). One of the lead actors who plays one of the English guys who is trying to buy the formula. We are due to film on location this afternoon so hopefully he will turn up then. Its a lot of hassle shooting on location as we have to transport all our equipment out into the country, and transport people etc, rather than at the studio.

Yeah, you have a list of potentials here for you to choose from.
Thanks for the list Hien. The character is a strong willed dodgy cop, sort of person. He is intellegent but his plans normally don't work to well as he doesn't think of other people. A little self centered and is out to make money. Quick witted and sarcastic, but intellectual at times.
As well as directing the movie I am also play one of the Characters- a Russian Under cover operative, my script editor is the english guy's (listed above) partner. and my Cinematorapher is an English under cover operative. So its quite hard work trying to direct a film when all my crew keep becoming actors. So if any of you want to be in the film, or perhaps one of the crew; then there will be auditions all afternoon.
Well, the toe will mend so just stay out of those 4-inch stiletto heels for a couple of weeks. (I have broken every toe I own at one time or another. Some multiple times. Hey, didn't need toe joints anyway.)
I hope your sister's hand heals quickly too. That's not a good start to a move but it was good that the docs were able to do the reattachment. She definitely has my sympathy!
As for the replacement actor for your movie, I think if we just melt down Jase, James, Mikey, Brendan, Wouter and Utrecht, then pour them into a mold, let them set like jello, unmold - you'll have the perfect match!! Kidding!!!
Hopefully the actor will make an appearance. Punish him by making him wear the 4-inch stiletto heels.
Rob - sorry to hear about your broken arm too. I don't think it's safe to be anywhere in the UK for the next week or so. But, if you go by the "comes in threes" thing. Between Alex, his sister and you - it may be safe.
