Has anyone been to Swansea, Wales? I'm looking at going to University there and am wondering about the area. How do you think it would be for a young person looking to relocate? Thanks

Out of all the universities in the UK why are you looking to go to Swansea? the only things you will find there are sheep and DVLA!! Thats the organisation that sorts out everything related to the owenership of our cars! ;)

Unless you are going there for a specialist department I would consider looking at other uni's in the UK. UWIC is supposed to be ok, its in Cardiff... What was it you were looking to study?

Master of Science in Social Development.

I mostly picked Swansea based on the fact that they had the degree I wanted. Honestly, I don't really care where the university is as long as it has an International Development program. which is what I found at Swansea. I didn't look much into other UK schools.

plus. sheep are cool. haha i totally lived on a sheep farm as a kid. haha. But anyways, any advice on another school would be great.

I have heard Swansea is kind of rough.

The University is pretty decent, and it's not a bad place for students - enough going on and quite cheap, although it's not the centre of the universe. Some parts can be rough, but they are easy enough to avoid. It rains allot, but is a good place to get out and about into the hills etc if you like being outside.

Oh, and it's not Swansea. It's Abertawe.

swansea is a nice place. the city is very close to the sea and i think it will be a very nice city to study and live. sheeps are not that common in the city. sheeps are more common in the valleys, which is quite far from this city.
