Hi there new to the board here ! I'm going to be studying Kung Fu in China for 6 months this year and then gonna so some traveling. We are looking at going to Tokyo from Shanghai does anyone have any experience with this as i really want to do it as part of my trip
Any help is much Appreciated
Umm I hope you know that the only way to get from Shanghai to Tokyo would be like to fly .. since Japan is an island.
Well thats not true as i know you can get a ferry i was hoping for anyone who has had experience of either of these either flying or going on the boat.

I haven't done either route, but I have heard from various sources that the ferry option is cheaper. It also sound a lot more interesting as well and would make the trip more of an adventure rather than just sitting on a boring plane.
Ah yes ferry I forgot about that. Well I'd say probably the ferry would be cheaper ... since Shanghai is on the water you won't have to travek far to the ferry. Like I wanted to go to Korea while I am in Japan .. but the ferry is in Fukuoka ... and the train ride alone from Tokyo - Fukuoka is like $300! ... same as the plane ride.
