I am trying to send an order, to a website.
I type what I want, in a text box.
Then I hit a submit button. When I hit this button, I get a message saying: Windows Internet Explorer; Couldnt get the input object name:firstname
I thought it was a problem with the website, I was sending to. However, the problem has been going on, for a week, even though I reported it, to the website, last week. They are a very reputable company, so I am starting to wonder if the problem is with my computer. Would anybody know, if it is and if so, how should I fix it?
No it sounds like a software problem. The software is telling you that it does not recognise what you have entered in the "first name" field - if you have entered this correctly the problem is with their site.
What did the response to your report of the problem say?
The response said, sorry u are having trouble ordering. U can try again, later.
But, I think that might have been a automatic message.
Just venturing a guess here... Are you using any non-letter characters in the first-name field? I'll often get error messages if I use accents or even an apostrophe (my last address has an apostrophe in it). Once I fiddled around with it, that usually worked.
I dont even get as far as the field, where i need to fill in my name, before I get the error message.
To find out if its a problem with your computer, try filling out a form on another website. You could also try using a different browser.

Thats certainly a possibility. I had a very similar problem with the Samsung website. Even after multiple comments to tech support over a 3month period, and attempting to dop the same to their phone line, it still failed.
Eventually, they had to input it by hand at their end and physically force it into the system (I was trying to register a warranty) using wrong information, and they've sent me a letter to cover me (in the event i need the warranty, i'm then not f*cked because of incorrect info in the system...).
Try what mohit_sa said:
eliminate the variables. Try a different website, try a different browser (like firefox, Opera, Safari), try a different computer.
Just give the monitor a slap, it'll sort it
