i just need some help. i will be heading to manchester and have confirmed with my local bank i could access the atm's in england which has cirrus and plus logos. i was informed by the officer (through phone) that certain atm's requires a 4 digit pin number, some 6 digit . when i questioned further, an answer could not be given. my concern is, would this mean there'll be huge inconveniences to look for an atm that requires 6 digit pin?
I'm not aware if there is a difference in machines.
The UK and most other nations debit/credit cards have a four digit pin number.
To be honest I've never heard of a six digit pin number for a debit card.
thanks. i guess i should keep sourcing because mine requires a 6 digit pin number
A 6 digit pin? NEver heard of that one before . Here it is standard practice to have a 4 digit pin.
There are plenty of ATM's here where you can withdraw money from, most have the Cirrus logo on. I suppose if you have 6 digits with your card then when you come here it will still be your same 6 digit No.
Where in Manchester do you intend to visit??
hey thanks for the information. apparently managed to find out from a website some uk atm do accept non uk atm card that accepts 6 digit. more sourcing!
