i am currently trying to plan a trip for me and a friend to travell around europe for 3 weeks. we are starting off from london, then travelling by air to amsterdam. we plan to stay there for 3 nights. then we are travelling by air to basel-mulhouse airport but staying in basel for 3 nights. then by air to praque for 3 nights, milan for 2 nights, naples for 3 nights, berlin for 3 nights then arrive back in luton.
we have a budget of £1500 each...do you think this budget is to small for what we want to do? does anyone have any tips of places to go?
I think you need to simplify your question. It's a bit overwhelming. As far as money goes, the answer soley depends on how you plan to travel. If you're backpacking, you've got money to spare, but if you plan on staying in 4 star hotels and eating at a restaurant for every meal, it might get tight.
Simplify and clarify for better answers. Have fun!
As far as money is concerned, if you are staying in hostels and score some cheap tickets you will be OK.
As far as the places are concerned, I have a few questions.
Why Basel? If you want to see Switzerlandm then this isn't the best place to stay. If you want to see the mountains (and that's in my opinion, THE thing the see when you are in Switzerland, then try to make it Interlaken.
And I have also a questionmark for Milan. (the Duomo and the last supper, would be a reason to go), but besides that, there are better alternatives.
Also you are zig-zagging a bit. Berlin and Prague are close enough to take the train (and make a brief stop in Dresden). If you take my advise on Interlaken, you could also train there from/to Milan. I think London - Amsterdam - Berlin - Prague - Milan - "Switzerland" - London make a more effective trip. (You could replace Switzerland, with some days in Austria, to make it even more effective - Prague - Cesky Kumlow - Salzburg, and then to Milan (or Venice) via Innsbruck and the fly Milan - London)
Just some options.
