What is the best time to visit Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London?

There seems to never be a good time as there are always long queues.

Perhaps late in the afternoon in winter, when there are not so many tourists.

I know that this is a personal opinion, but I lived in London for 3 years and never went to Madame Tussauds - I didn't see the attraction given the other wonderful things that London offers.

The queues are always really long and it is well overpriced. If you want to go and are doing other touristy things in London, some tour companies offer 'fast-track' tickets that put you in a shorter queue - the original london sightseeing co is one.
