Sleep, sleep, and sleep some more.

Or you can just plan out your itinerary in Rio but after that you'll still have time. I'd suggest a nap afterwards lol

1. Buy duty free vodka.
2. Drink duty free vodka.
3. Get drunk on duty free vodka.
4. Enjoy the warm duty free vodka state for a few hours.
5. Drink more duty free vodka.
6. Eat a burger/kebab/chips to try and sober up.
7. Puke.
8. Sleep.
9. Ride out the hangover.
10. Scrub up, have a wash and a cup of tea.
11. Talk to the poor sod next to you, about what a great night you had with duty free vodka.
12. Repeat.

Hi Steffy,

I flew from Rio to Auckland and I didn;t notice the journey passing at all. I was even bummed that i didnt have enough time to watch all the movies

If you like movies then the journey passes very quickly I find. ;)

I'm usually too excited about wherever I'm going to sleep. And with regular interruptions for food and the odd drink, the journey passes quickly.

I myself am a little wary about striking up a conversation with someone on such a lllllong journey. If they turn out to be a real "TALKER" then you could get stuck with them for the rest of the flight!

Bring a good page-turner, something that's not too heavy going; writ in your journal; pick a couple of movies (the great thing now is taht you can choose your own, you dont have to watch the same ones as everyone else); listen to some music; watch Scrubs; maybe consider talking to the person beside, especially if it's a smokin' hot Brazilian man ; have a walk around the plane looking cool whilst stretching your muscles; have a snooze if you're able ....

Next thing you know, you'll be on the descent into Rio. ;)

andygmd - do you like vodka??? ;) I couldn't tell for sure.

samsara, thanks for your advice. Have you ever flown with Aerolineas Argentinas? I have a sneaky suspicion that they are not blessed with individual t.v's for everyone, otherwise you wouldn't hear a peep out of me! I can watch those things for hours, switching from all the comedy shows I love to the movies I never have time to see.

Andygmd, have I sat next to you on several occassions?

I agree - Vodka is a great way to pass sometime. Either pray the seat next to you is empty (for your empties) or that the person next to you is up for a laugh and a few drinks - always helps to drink with a stranger!

I have encouraged many peopel next to me to have a few on flights, once from JfK-SFO I got a 78 year old woman completley shit faced to the point that I had to stay with her at the baggage carosel until her son (in his 60's) arrived - she was really slurruing her words!

Love VODKA!

Hi Steffy

Ooooh...so you're doing a long flight with Aerolineas
I flew with them once but just a short one hour flight.

Well, now if you think about it, the fact that you will be flying with them dramatically increases your chances of being seated near a hottie

I'll have my fingers crossed for you!

If that fails, resort to the journal and your headphones and lots of alcohol. ;-)
