collins810 has indicated that this thread is about Canada

Does anybody know a car hire firm in Canada that will rent a car to an 18 yr old and 19yr old with full driving licences?

I don't think it's possible in Canada. You could probably buy an old car and insure it for a month for the same price as renting it though. Just a little more work.

I'd say it's possible. I live in Quebec province, and i used to rent a car for weekend trips. Some companies will offer the possibility to rent a car under 21 years old, but it will be more expensive. try out Enterprise. they give good service, and are usually cheap. if you're planning on travelling around, it might be good to try carpool. in quebec there's a really good company that connects drivers & passengers for the same destination at a very low price. they go pretty much everywhere in the province of quebec. similar companies exists in other provinces as well. Hope this helps!!

As far as I know you have to be 25 years old to rent a car in Canada. But someone has posted that there may a company willing to rent to someone younger. You'll have to contact each company to find out. I've never known anyone to rent out to people under 25 years of age.

Rent a Wreck will rent cars to people 21 years of age maybe other companies will do it for younger people.

It'll be expensive though because of insurance you'll have to do a company by company search on concentrating on smaller companies.

Don't rent from rent a wreck. They're sooo sketchy. Enterprise will do it and so will a few others, they just charge a 10 dollar a day surcharge if you're under 25. The insurance is a bit more expensive but it's affordable. I found enterprise to be great. Maybe buying a second hand one and insuring it would be cheaper but I don't think so. Enterprise was maybe 300 for a week? Think they had deals for longer. G'luck

Well I can vouch for Enterprise being great to do business with but I thought they wouldn't rent to anyone under 21, maybe it was certain models of auto they wouldn't rent to younger people.

I agree that Rent-a-Wreck is sketchy-they are not the same company they were years ago at all.
