Couple of weeks, not much money

Travel Forums General Talk Couple of weeks, not much money

Ok, in summer this year, I need to get away again.

Anywhere will do. Preferably somewhere nice and hot, and out of Britain!

Only have about £8-900 to spend, but want to spend as long away from home as possible.

Any ideas welcome, no matter how obscure!

I'm in the UK though! The flight would take most of my budget!

Good to see you posting again. I hope your Asian trip went well for you.

I had good luck going into Thomas Cook travels shops in London and seeing what they had for 'last minute bookings'. If you can travel that day or the next, there are some real baragins. Usually are for double occupancy. If you cannot find another to go, tell your agent to put you down as willing to go with another single to any warm location. The Caribbean should be on your list. The Dominican Republic is not expensive or maybe Cuba. Or perhaps the Canary Islands. Go in and see what is available, last minute. Good Luck, Mike

Thanks for the replies so far.

the_wynner- I'll have a look into going to India- Never really been strongly drawn to it, but I know precious little about the country, so I'll definately consider it.

Mike- The trip to Asia was, in a word, Amazing! lol

I will probably be going with a friend in summer. Don't mind sharing a room, but not a bed ;P

I know a couple of people who've been to cuba. Supposedly a great place. I'll go in to an agents next week and see what kind of last minute deal I'll be looking at.

Thanks again.
