Mr. Gee is right. There were reports of the Thai authorities charging foreigners with working w/o a work permit while trying to help the survivors of the Dec. 04 tsunami. Foreigner visitors volunteering in a disaster situation are still viewed by the Thais as 'working'. Hard to believe, but true.

How annoying!!!
Those authorities who do that are either corrupt, or dont understand what they are supposed to be doing.
Is there any information or reports, about that, on the internet Vegasmike? I sometimes give people information, about where they can do voluntary work, but I dont want to do it anymore, if it could get them in trouble, with the authorities.
