I have started a travel map. But am unable to get a photo to pop up once you hover over it?
On the blog site it's just the destination showing. When I go to edit map, and select the photo tab, there is a black dot and then the photo pops up. But in my main blog nothing but the destination shows?!!!
Help and thanks
If I go to this post on your blog, and hover over the lowest dot (that of Marrakech), the photo of the camel shadows shows for me.
However, if you click on that dot, the page you're taken to does not show the photo. The reason for that is that the dates don't match (if you're looking at a specific trip, then we only show those photos on the map which were taken during the time period of the trip). The photo has a date of "February 2005", but your visit to Morocco has been denoted as lasting from "10 April 2005" to "15 April 2005" - which does not include "February 2005". So this is partially a problem on our side - our calculations for when to show a photo don't quite use the same system in different places, causing the photo to only show sometimes, and partially a problem on your side, in that you gave the photo and the trip dates which didn't match, so the system doesn't know they belong together. (The easiest way to fix would be to go to your photo gallery and edit the photo to give it a date of April 2005 - but I'll also see if I can tweak the script a bit and make the photo always show for this edge case.)

Thanks for that reply. Its rare to get such an indepth understandable reply to a question like that these days, so well done and thanks for that.
Yep, just after I posted the question I played with the dates thing. And yes I saw what was happening and the light bulb went off. Now that I know that is the problem I can work around it.
After have a HD crash on the road and having to get the photo's back somewhere along the line the data info reset itself so all my photos have the wrong date on them from my 2005 travels. Am currently looking at a batch converter, but don't think it will handle just dates.
Anyway, problem solved I know what to do now.
