I don't like teams like Celtic, Rangers, Barcelona, Real, Lazio, etc for the simple reason they are very political. I rather keep politics out of sports, and for the same reason I always have a weird feeling whenever visiting a football game here in Northern Ireland.

I have two teams I adore: KV Oostende in my native country Belgium, and Rosenborg BK in my country of dreams Norway. I have been following both of them for approx 15 years (yes, when Rosenborg were far from the top team they are now).

I do agree that politics has found its way into many of these major clubs. However, I simply feel that the players that make up the whites as a whole are unmatched....followed by Man U, Liverpool (only because of Aurelio), and FC porto (when they play as a team)

However, favorite player in the game Didier Drogba for Chelsea, and the Ivory Coast

How the heck did AZ blow that? Top with one game to play, they come 3rd and don't even end up with a consolation place in the Champions League!!!

PSV have been dire for a a while, but had enough of a lead into 07 that they just about survived, lucky them. And Koeman becomes, i think, only the second manager to win Dutch league titles with two different clubs.

Yeah okay they are relegated.

WooHoo!!!!!!

Yep, Beenhakker was the other. I guess it was either Koeman or van Gaal to get the second double this year.

On another note, I'm curious to know how aware people in other countries are of the new Australian A-league? Being in Melbourne, I'm a big fan (and member, aka season pass holder) of the Melbourne Victory. We won this year with a final (there is a knockout system at the end of the season) that ended in 6-0 with 5 goals by Archie Thompson !!! He's incidentally also the record older for 'most goals scored in an international match', when he scored 13 goals against American Samoa in a match that ended 31-0

I hope that doesn't give the impression that all games are high scoring down here, because that grand final was really a very surreal night !

Yeah... well... But I dont' like also Juventus, Milan, Real and Barcelona, because they have political power.

I'm aware of it, but can't say I follow it in any kind of detail. I saw highlights of the final and read all about Archie though. But then again, I'm a sports/Football freak and tend to follow most leagues!
