Hi!

I can just talk about my experience when arriving in Australia from overseas.
At the airport they check your luggage by letting a dog smell it. So if you want to bring food, make sure that it is good packed.
Sauces are ok I guess but fruits and meat are not allowed.
Ask the embassy or the travel agent for more infos!

Cheers!

Loupy,

I can't say for sure about NZ in specific, but American laws say that you can only carry in prepared foods and they limit the quantity you can carry.

i.e. you cant bring in raw steak, but you could carry on a cooked one.
Same with fruits/cooked fruits and dairy stuff is generally frowned upon.

Regards,
Ian
