Just wondering what kind of camera can be well functioned under cold winter whether.
perhaps the brand or the model no. can be recommended.
my friend's camera went death after he exposed his camera under the winter whether for more than 15 minutes.
sorry if the question sounds stupid cause i am from equator country and totally have no idea on this area.
since buying a suitable is consider a heavy investment to me therefore desperate help is needed!!

Most cameras can withstand the conditions of winter - they usually only function better when cooled down. There's one hazard though - whn you've been out in the cold and bring your camera somewhere warm - eg into a warm cottage - all the cold air inside the camera will turn into moist, which can indeed damage the electronics in the camera. It's probably best to check the manual of the camera. One of my old cameras.. canon ixus2 i took it snowbaording and the liquid in the screen turned to ice, i thought it was finished. But after some defrosting still works like new
