Portuguese in Portugal, but where?

Travel Forums Europe Portuguese in Portugal, but where?

Hi, new here:)
I’m going to study Portuguese for 20 weeks in Portugal, 2008-09. But there’s a small problem, I don’t know where to go. I have a travel agency and all of that, so that’s no problem. But I have to choose between Faro and Lisboa (or is it Lisbon in English?).
So please tell me what you know about Faro/Lisboa, good and bad. And my real question, can you give me any good websites about Faro/Lisboa? I’ve tried to find, but don’t seem to find any good sites.

Thanks

Lisbon is for learning and working and Faro is for relaxing !?

Lisbon is the cultural centre of Portugal and the Capital.

Faro is the ‘capital’ of the Algarve. There are at least 75 beautiful beaches in the Algarve!

However, you can relax in Lisbon and learn in Faro too!

It depends on what you really want and need – big capital with lots of activity or small city with lots of sea, sun and tourists?

Will you get bored in a small city like Faro or will you suffocate with people running around in Lisbon?

Either way they are both great places!:)

Google for websites and use wikipedia for general info on both cities!
