Travel Forums Central/South America & The Caribbean Inca trail is booked up - alternatives

Hi Guys,
would like to do the Inca Trail this or next month, but waited too long to make the actual booking, hence until August the MP Inca Trail is fully booked. Can you recommend a good company which organises nice alternatives ? Thanks a lot. Lejlaxxx

I did Salkantay trek with them and highly recommend them.

Salkantay is definetly a great alternative. Can't recomend a company though, I just went with a random nameless travel agent in Cusco, booked a couple days before the tour, payed $165, and got excellent guides, food, and equipment.

Take Degolasse's course of action; booking over the internet generally means paying up to 50% more than you should. And be sure to bargain over the price! Cusco is a nice place, but the tour agents all are a bit too greedy...

enjoy! Niels
