Hi All,

I will be travelling in Chile in August for 2 weeks with my girlfriend and I was hoping I could get an itenerary from you.

What is the weather like? Is it cold throughout the country?

We are planning on skiing for maybe 3 days, and other than that, we do not know what to do.

hey,
well, we're a long country but in the central region it's pretty cold in august ( in the morning, 15º max); you can have better weather to the north and worst to the south, but it never gets colder than -5 °C.

if you want to do things by your own, i'll recomend you to visit valparaiso, 1 hr from santiago by bus. Really picturesque port; you could spend 3 or 4 days there easily.
if it was another time of the year, i'd tell you valdivia (10 hour bustrip southwards santiago) is a must. It's really beautiful city, lots of things to do and you can discover it by boat. But it's very very rainy in winter..
there are some natural parks near santiago but i believe it'll be too cold to go there
