It is necessary to reconfirm flights? I can't get through by phone and I can't do it online as it requires a credit card number and I paid cash.... what to do????

What do you mean by reconfirm flights? Changing the flight date/time?

Since you paid by cash, I guess you've got to call them.

Within Malaysia
03 8775 4000 (03 is not required if you're calling from a land line in KL, but necessary if you're calling from a mobile)

Outside Malaysia
+60 3 8660 4343

Remember that you must do it at least 48 hours before the departure of flight if changing flight date/time is what you want.

No. At least, if like other airlines they have the same policy right know. And not like some years ago, when some airlines wanted you to reconfirm and if you didn't they just sold some more tickets....overbooking was just so nice. Like someone accidentally bookes a ticket

Hello Claireh:)

As far as I know, it is no longer necessary to reconfirm flights, yourself. Airlines these days, will send u information about flight changes, by email and/or mail. At least that is how it has been, with all the flights I have bought, in the last year.

I don't think I've reconfirmed a flight once in the past 15 years.... so I wouldn't worry about it.

Not all the airlines but some of them still ask you to reconfirm. Am flying to NY from BCN and Alitalia asked me to reconfirm 72 hours before flying.

When I used Air Asia last year, I never reconfirmed my flights, I just turned up to the airport the day of the flight (a few hours prior to departure) and got my flight. If you don't reconfirm the flight, it is a good idea to turn up very early just incase most others have.

I'm flying Air Asia tmrw and wasn't asked to re-confirm. Friends have flown with them for the past few months and no issues but with all lost cost airlines the world over, their usual policy is to overbook assuming they'll have a percentage of no shows so always good to check in with plenty of time to spare.

Thanks guys. I found an agent to do it in the end. Sounds like I shouldn't have worried! Nevermind...!
