vert310 has indicated that this thread is about Thailand

Hey Everybody,

I am going to get to spend about 2 weeks in Thailand and would like your guy's opinion on what I should do. I'm flying into bangkok at the beginning of june. I know I want to stay in bangkok for a couple days and fly down south to go to the islands. I want to hit up a full/half moon party at ko phangan. I want to explore ko samui. My friend also told me to go to phi phi island. Can you guys help me plan a itinerary for 2 weeks down south and give an opinion on what I should do? I like places with great nightlifes and I love nice beaches, jungles, etc. I like being away from the city. I have no idea where I should go. What should I expect the weather to be in june? I'm going to be expecting to stay in nice hotels but just small places where a fan and running water is good enough. If its too hot, maybe AC. Thanks guys!

Hello Vert:)

U could also try staying at Khao Sok National park, since u like jungles. There u could sleep in a tree house. I think 3 islands is too many, for the amount of time u have. I would just choose 2 or 1.

How about this itenarary
Bangkok - 2 nights
Fly to Koh PhaNgan
Koh PhaNgan -5 nights
Boat to mainland
Bus from Surat Thani to Khao Sok (100KM)
Khao Sok - 5 nights
Bus back to Surat Thani
Night bus to Bangkok.
Bangkok - all remaining nights.

dont forget about Phuket, Pattaya, Hua Hin ;) (all are touristy but still have some nice qualities about them all)

if you concernn about cost, you may do the trip like this.

2 - 3 days in bangkok
fly to phuket by low cost airlines ( eg..airasia, one2go or nokair ).
enjoy phuket for a couple of day could be white water rafting , visit phrom thep cape.
then a trip to phi phi island and onward to railey beach. over night at railey for a couple of day enjoy rock climbing , beaching etc.
then you decide weather will go to khao sok in surathani or catch a bus to don sak pier to get to koh pha ngan for full moon party.

i think this could be enough for 2 weeks.

What do you guys think is the cheapest airline to fly roundtrip from BKK to ICN? I've found Orient-Thai airlines for around 8000 baht or $250 usd. Any other recommendations on airlines that fly between these destinations?

If you're willing to travel outside of Bangkok, you might want to consider the ruins of Ayutthaya. Also not so far from Bangkok is Pattaya which is very nice. I stayed at a hotel there called the Jomtien Thani Hotel, which is comfortable. Koh Samui is a good choice, and you will find very good snorkeling opportunities there. In Bangkok there are a few hotels that I know of that aren't too pricey, and nice... The Ambassador Hotel and the Bangkok Palace Hotel, both of which are within walking distance for shopping (bootleg and official goods).
