Sander, the cheesecake delivery guy should be there shortly!!!!!

Oh, and Allan - the cheesecake delivery charge will be automatically deducted from your Mod salary. After all, it is your thread.

Aharrold, moderator? getting worried and nervous now!

Hope u don't delete my promotion posts on India;).

hope the moderator tag will bring more maturity in Aharrold and his frustation with his bad experience in india will not culminate in deletion of all posts highlighting good things in india;)

Probably the fact that I've made over 100 posts in the last month, most of essay length and also flag a lot of the SPAM posts so the admin people know that I hate spammers They've probably also noticed that I am the one to flag duplicate posts and have made suggestions as to ways to improve the TP site. Over the past few months I have posted so much that I have gone from having not many more than 100 posts to over 550 posts. Before those months I think I had gone from 0-100 posts in close to 12 months and from 100-500 since about February. I think if you are regualrly the first person to post on a thread on a branch such as the RTW branch and type for over an hour at a time like I regularly do, it shows you have some knowledge of travel around the world. It also demonstrates that you are using the site to help people and make it more useful for current members and new members who may come across Travellerspoint. People who reply with a line or two may give the original poster a bit of an idea, but usually they will need to ask many more questions to get the full idea. If you've read many of my posts particularly on the RTW branch, you'll notice that they are aimed at helping the person as much as I possibly can and saving them where ever I know they can, making their trip more enjoyable and coming back having a life changing trip like I've had myself twice. They are also aimed to try and help anyone else who should come across the post, which is more than can usually happen if you write one or two lines in a reply to a question related to a holiday rather than a visa related question or a Off topic post etc.

There are some moderators here who did not even achieve the rank of a Travel Guru when they were appointed to be moderators. I had only 100 posts when I was offered the moderator job and I did not upload a photo until more than a year later.

As you can see, how one becomes a moderator is never determined by the number of posts one makes, photos uploaded, or even ranking. It's up to the admins to pick whoever they feel fit for the job.

None of you need to worry about that. I believe the admins have enough faith in him for him to be a moderator. :)

And for the record, India falls under the Asia forum, which is taken care of by Purdy and yours truly. So if you really need to worry, start worrying about the two of us rather than him.
