It depends on what you class decent ie is it a very sociable hostel, clean hostel in good location or what.

I stayed at Hostelling International Sukhumvit when I was in Bangkok and that was a good hostel. On hostelworld it has a rating of 89% (the highest of any hostel in Bangkok).

In Hong Kong I stayed at Wang Fat hostel. It wasn't a particularly fun hostel although I did meet a few nice people there. It was good value by Hong Kong standards and was in a good location in Causeway Bay. It was also very easy to get to using the bus from the airport which stopped only half a block away. The overall satisfaction rating for that hostel is a 72% which is about the same rating as most the hostels in Hong Kong.

I haven't stayed at any hostel in Darwin, but the highest rated hostels in Darwin are Melaleuca On Mitchell at 84% satisfaction rate and Chilli's Backpackers at 80% satisfaction rate, so I'd reckon those two would be your best bet for good hostels in Darwin.

Have a great trip.

Hi Tuts,

Try a couple of the websites below, or the accomadation section of TP - really cheap hostels that have good reviews.

www.hostelworld.com
www.hostels.com
www.HostelBookers.com
www.hostelplanet.com

Good luck!

Mitchell Street in Darwin is THE backpacker spot of the town. Check out hostelz.com to see what recent guests have said about the different options
