that must be an amazing holiday for a 6 year old - My little sister was in Oz nearly two years ago(she was 6 at the time) and she's still talking about it! Its great for kids to be able to see a different way of life so young

yeah, my daughter remembers everything, about the last time we went to Thailand too.
I am also hoping, that exposing her to more types of people and cultures will make her openminded. We puroposely send her to a Kindergarten, where only 30% of the kids are German. The others are from all over the world.

I agree 100%, I think its great that she gets to see how other people live, including some people that might not have running water & access to some of the privilages we have at home etc. Things like that really give people (and I include myself at the age I am now) a sense of how big the world is - you can forget how different the world can be when you see the same kind of people day in - day out. Specially the kindergarten, that really teaches a child that everybody is equal, children that are around their own race, religion etc all the time see others almost as alien, I think its great to see children mixing.

Yeah true.
Also, when I visit places that dont have running water and electricity I realise how uncomplicated our lives can really be, if we want them to be.;)
