Well if you want something that is stylish yet affordable then consider Monte Carlo. I just stayed there and it was great. the casino is nice and they had a lazy river at the pool.

I am sure the rooms at the Wynn, Venetian, Caesars Palace, Mandalay Bay, the Rio, the Palms, all will have a 'wow' factor. I doubt they fall into the 'reasonably priced' category. You can get a decent room and a fair price if you stay midweek at the Stratosphere, Sam's Town, Boulder Station. No 'wow' factor, but decent value.

Your best chance at a 'wow' room will be Tues. Wed of a slow week. Check availablity online at the Palms, Rio. Bellagio, ect. midweek in July and see if there are any bargains out there. It is a bit warmish in July- August, but it it's a ' dry heat' as we like to say. A bit like standing in front of a blast furnace, dry but a bit HOT!

It's not right in Las Vegas--it's at the California-Nevada stateline (I think the town is called Primm). There's a place called Whiskey Pete's. I asked for their nicest room there and for a reasonable $250 some years back (around 10 years ago) got a room with a living room a king sized bed with the mirrors over the top, an in-room full-size bar, a jacuzzi the size of a large dining room, and a fairly large bathroom.

This is about 30-40 miles from Vegas.

Right in Vegas you can get rooms with everything, even private lap pools and 10,000 sq feet of room--but these go to the "high rollers". They have these at Caesar's Palace, Mirage, and the Wynn. As far as one you can rent, I'm guess you can get one around 1,500 sq feet--but they will cost you $1,000/night and up--up to $20,000/night.
